Job summary

MCPHS is seeking a clinical adjunct faculty member for the Forsyth School of Dental Hygiene in Worcester, MA. The role involves delivering high-quality, in-person clinical instruction to undergraduate students in lab and clinical settings, with duties spanning dental materials, pain management, instrumentation, radiology, and infection control.

The candidate will guide students through the Dental Hygiene Process of Care, assess competency, and collaborate with supervision on patient care

Qualifications

• Associate's degree in Dental Hygiene is required; a Bachelor's degree is preferred.
• Minimum of 2 years of work experience in dental hygiene clinical practice.
• Commitment to undergraduate education and student success.

Responsibilities

• Delivers instruction in face-to-face onsite or external clinical practice settings.
• Guides students in understanding the Standards for Clinical Dental Hygiene Practice and the Dental Hygiene Process of Care.
• Assesses students’ competency in the Dental Hygiene Process of Care steps including vital signs, exams, charting, periodontal classifications, treatment planning, pain management, instrumentation, and outcomes.
• Additional responsibilities may be assigned by the supervisor.
