Job description

Burlington, WI

A confidential, relationship-centered private dental practice in Burlington, Wisconsin is seeking an experienced Lead Dental Assistant to join and help guide our clinical team.

This is an opportunity for someone who loves dentistry, takes pride in creating an exceptional patient experience, and enjoys helping teammates grow. We believe healthcare is about human connection, not transactions — and that every patient should feel seen, heard, valued, and cared for from the moment they walk through the door.

Our mission is to empower healers and educators to provide patients with world-class care and achieve optimal health. As a Lead Dental Assistant, you will play a key role in bringing that mission to life through clinical excellence, patient education, team support, and thoughtful leadership.

What Makes This Role Meaningful

We are not looking for someone who simply wants to “run rooms.” We are looking for a clinical leader who believes great dentistry is built through trust, preparation, collaboration, and kindness.

In this role, you will help set the tone for the clinical team by modeling our core values:

Patient Obsession

Every action should serve the patient’s health, comfort, safety, and experience.

Team Empowerment

You will help create an environment where assistants feel supported, trained, heard, and confident.

Team Development

You will help coach, onboard, and strengthen the clinical team so the practice can continue delivering excellent care.

Relationship-Driven Care

You will help patients feel comfortable, informed, and confident while building trust that lasts beyond a single appointment.

Golden Rule Patient Care

We do what is best for the patient, even when it is hard.

Golden Rule Team Care

We treat teammates with the same respect, patience, and kindness we want for ourselves.

What You’ll Do

As our Lead Dental Assistant, you will:

  • Assist the doctor chairside during a variety of dental procedures
  • Help lead daily clinical flow, room readiness, and patient handoffs
  • Support, train, and mentor dental assistants
  • Champion OSHA, HIPAA, sterilization, infection control, and clinical safety standards
  • Help ensure operatories, instruments, supplies, and lab cases are prepared and organized
  • Partner with the doctor and team to create smooth, efficient, patient-centered care
  • Communicate clearly with patients so they feel informed, comfortable, and respected
  • Help identify opportunities to improve systems, teamwork, and the patient experience
  • Model professionalism, humility, accountability, and kindness in daily interactions
Who We’re Looking For

The right person for this role is someone who:

  • Has dental assisting experience, ideally with prior lead or mentoring responsibility
  • Is organized, dependable, proactive, and calm under pressure
  • Takes pride in clinical excellence and patient comfort
  • Communicates well with doctors, assistants, hygienists, and administrative team members
  • Enjoys helping others learn and succeed
  • Understands the importance of confidentiality, compliance, and patient trust
  • Brings a positive, solutions-oriented mindset to the practice each day
  • Believes private practice dentistry is at its best when the team is strong, aligned, and patient-focused
Why You’ll Love It Here

You’ll be part of a practice that chooses value over volume and connection over transactions. We are building a team where clinical excellence, collaboration, and human kindness work hand in hand — one patient, one relationship, and one smile at a time.

This is a great opportunity for a Lead Dental Assistant who wants to do meaningful work, support a strong clinical culture, and help create an environment where both patients and team members thrive.

Apply Confidentially

Interested candidates are encouraged to apply confidentially. We would love to connect with a Lead Dental Assistant who believes exceptional dentistry starts with exceptional relationships.
