Job summary

Tempus is seeking a Data Visualization Engineer on the Tempus Next team to translate clinical and enriched data into visually compelling dashboards for internal stakeholders, healthcare providers, and health system administrators at the point of care.

You will design, build, and maintain stand-alone data visualizations and dashboards, ensure data quality and timeliness, perform custom analyses for account managers and clinical partners, and empower product managers to explore data with

Qualifications

• 3+ years of hands-on experience developing data visualizations.
• Strong experience with SQL and relational data.
• Deep understanding of Data Modeling patterns and best practices.
• Experience working with Looker or other BI tools (e.g., Looker Studio, Tableau, Power BI).
• Excellent communication and presentation skills.
• Collaborating with a cross-disciplinary team of account managers, product managers and engineers.
• High-quality, well-documented code that is scalable and version-controlled (GitHub).
• Excellent time-management skills for estimating tasks and meeting deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Ensuring the quality, accuracy and timeliness of data products.
• Performing custom analyses to support account managers and clinical partners.
• Designing, building, and maintaining stand-alone data visualizations and dashboards for internal and external stakeholders.
• Empowering account and product managers to conduct their own data investigations by designing, creating, and maintaining data models and supporting documentation.
