EMPACT- Suicide Prevention Center, part of the La Frontera family, seeks a Data Validation Administrator to ensure accuracy of clinical documentation in a behavioral health outpatient setting.

The role collaborates with physicians, nurses, and medical staff to improve documentation, ensure proper billing/coding alignment, and maintain data integrity across systems. Office hours required in Phoenix area.

Qualifications

• Associate or Bachelor’s degree in health information management, Healthcare Administration, Nursing, or related field preferred.
• High School Diploma/GED Required.
• Certified Professional Coder Certification preferred.
• 2+ years of experience in healthcare data validation, CDI, medical billing/coding, or chart auditing.
• NextGen software experience preferred.
• High attention to detail and strong organization skills.
• Excellent interpersonal skills and communication.
• Able to work independently and with teams.
• Excellent computer skills.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office and project management.
• Fingerprint clearance card or eligibility to obtain one.

Responsibilities

• Review patient records to ensure documentation supports billing and coding.
• Identify documentation gaps impacting reimbursement, compliance, or patient care; work with providers to resolve them.
• Assist providers in understanding documentation requirements related to coding standards and payer guidelines.
• Conduct routine chart audits to validate accuracy and alignment between clinical documentation and billing data.
• Collaborate with billing to ensure clean claims and reduce denials or rework.
• Provide real-time or retrospective feedback to clinicians to improve documentation practices.
• Track trends in documentation errors, coding issues, and claim denials; report findings to leadership.
• Support HIPAA and regulatory requirements.
