Job summary

Kodiak Area Native Association (KANA) seeks a Clinical Data Analyst to lead healthcare data analytics and reporting supporting performance, quality improvement, accreditation readiness, regulatory reporting, and strategic decisions.

This role requires strong expertise in Power BI, SQL, and Excel, with experience building dashboards in EHR systems and collaborating with management, staff, and stakeholders to interpret outcomes and drive data-informed improvements.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in statistics, data analytics, data science, health information management, or another health-related field, with demonstrated healthcare data analytics and data quality management experience; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Minimum of 3 years of Power BI experience, including demonstrated proficiency with DAX, M, and SQL, plus data transformation, dashboard development, and query writing for large datasets.
• Advanced user of Microsoft Excel.
• Demonstrated experience building custom reports within EHRs that can be exported and shared.
• Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects and competing deadlines.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy, along with analytical and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead healthcare data analytics and reporting to support performance, quality improvement, accreditation readiness, regulatory reporting, and strategic decisions.
• Support organizational mission, quality standards, and patient-centered medical home philosophy.
• Apply KANA’s core values and serve the whole person through organizational services.
• Collaborate with management, staff, and stakeholders to interpret outcomes, identify trends, and troubleshoot system-related data issues.
• Independently produce, maintain, analyze, and distribute dashboards and internal reports.
• Use EHRs, population health platforms, databases, and other software to monitor, track, analyze, and report outcomes.
• Coordinate with Health Department stakeholders to develop customized data reports.
• Lead retrieval, validation, and storage of data.
• Compile and interpret data to support grant reporting and accreditation activities.
• Design, develop, and maintain reporting tools within EHRs to extract data for Power BI.
• Lead quality control by developing quality assurance for scheduling, registration data, and provider productivity.
• Support quality improvement by generating analyses and reports to track performance and quality initiatives.
• Coordinate with ANTHC and partners to validate population health management software.
