Job summary

Piedmont Healthcare Inc. is seeking a Clinical Data Abstractor to organize and analyze data in support of process improvement across clinical areas. You will abstract data into databases and generate outcomes reports for stakeholders.

RN or health-related degree preferred; if no degree, 5+ years of clinical data abstraction experience. 3+ years in healthcare data roles, with Georgia RN licensure if applicable.

Qualifications

• RN or health-related degree required (Georgia licensure if RN)
• Experience in healthcare data abstraction and quality reporting preferred
• Clinical data management and data-entry in required databases

Responsibilities

• Organize and analyze data for process improvement in clinical areas.
• Abstract and enter data into required databases.

• Serve as educational resource for clinical data registry team.
• Collect and validate data for reports/projects on an ongoing basis

Responsibilities

• Responsible for the organization and analysis of data in support of process improvement initiatives for various clinical areas and programs.
• Abstract and enter data into the required databases.
• Develop and generate outcomes reports and disseminate them to applicable parties.
• Act as an educational resource for other members of the clinical data registry.
• Responsible for data collection and validation for various reports/projects on an ongoing basis.

Qualifications

Education

• Graduate from a nursing program Required or
• Bachelor's Degree from a recognized college or university in a health-related field with a focus on quality Required or
• In Lieu of degree five (5) years of clinical data abstraction experience, in addition to the minimum experience requirement Required

Work Experience

• 3 years previous experience in healthcare, information management, clinical data abstraction, data analysis, or quality role Required or
• In lieu of degree eight (8) years of previous experience in healthcare, information management, clinical data abstraction, data analysis, or quality role Required

Licenses and Certifications

• RN - Registered Nurse - Georgia State Licensure and/or NLC/eNCL Multistate Licensure If RN, current R.N. licensure in the state of Georgia Required
