JAMHI Health & Wellness, Inc. is seeking a mission-driven Clinical Crisis Lead to provide clinical and operational leadership for our Behavioral Health Crisis Walk-In/Urgent Care program in Alaska.

Responsibilities

JAMHI Health & Wellness, Inc. is seeking a mission-driven and collaborative ClinicalCrisis Lead to provide clinical and operational leadership for our in-house Behavioral Health Crisis Walk-In/Urgent Care program. We’re looking for an experienced behavioral health professional who brings strong clinical judgment, a passion for continuous improvement, and a commitment to person-centered, trauma-informed, and recovery-oriented crisis care.

Join us as the Clinical Crisis Lead and make a meaningful impact across JAMHI’s integrated behavioral health and community-based services. In this key leadership role, you’ll oversee daily program operations, develop effective workflows, support clinical decision-making, monitor service access and outcomes, and ensure crisis services meet JAMHI, CCBHC, and applicable Alaska requirements.

You’ll collaborate closely with crisis clinicians, Mobile Crisis, hospitals, emergency responders, and JAMHI’s broader care teams to support timely interventions, seamless transitions, and warm handoffs to ongoing care. You’ll provide clinical consultation, participate in direct crisis services when qualified, and lead and develop the crisis team through clear expectations, coaching, training, and feedback. Using data, staff and client feedback, and community needs, you’ll drive quality improvement and service development while overseeing essential administrative responsibilities. Through strong leadership and collaboration, you’ll help JAMHI strengthen crisis services, reduce barriers to care, and ensure people receive compassionate, responsive support when they need it most.

Minimum Qualifications

• Licensed behavioral health clincian with:
  • Two (2) years of crisis-service experience
  • One (1) year of leadership/supervisory experience, which can be the same role as above.
• Current required Alaska licensure, certification, registration, or other credentialing for any clinical duties performed.

Pay rates offered are determined based on a standardized scale that considers relevant experience and education.

NHSC Loan Repayment Eligible
LCSW, LMFT, and LPC candidates may be eligible for the NHSC Loan Repayment Program, offering up to $50,000 in qualifying student loan repayment for a two-year service commitment. Awards are made by HRSA, and clinicians apply directly. Our organization is an NHSC-approved site and provides required employment verification.

All JAMHI positions require the ability to pass a criminal background check in accordance with the current state regulation requirements and a valid Alaska driver’s license and be able to clear the JAMHI auto insurance screening through the independent insurance carrier if driving.
