Job summary

The CARE CENTER, INC. is seeking a Part-Time Contract clinician to provide clinical assessments and outpatient psychotherapy, including individual, family, and group sessions, in Washington, PA.

The role emphasizes developing treatment plans and collaborating with a multidisciplinary team. Responsibilities include conducting assessments, implementing plans using various therapeutic modalities, documenting records, and ensuring compliance with laws and agency policies.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Social Work, Psychology, Rehabilitation, Nursing or Activities Therapy per DHS/DDAP regulations.
• Willing to obtain Mental Health Professional or Certified Addiction Counselor credential.
• Ability to obtain vital information during interviews to make proper recommendations.
• Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with internal staff, providers, and other social service agencies.
• Must not be excluded from participation in Medicare, Medicaid, or any other federal health care program.
• Must successfully obtain Criminal History Clearance from PA State Police, Child Abuse Clearance from PA DHS, and FBI Fingerprint Clearance.

Responsibilities

• Conducts assessment and diagnostic services to develop a comprehensive treatment plan and related treatment recommendations.
• Develops and implements individualized treatment plans using individual, marital, group and family methodologies.
• Participates in treatment team meetings with all levels of psychiatric and clinical staff, both individually and in group supervision.
• Initiates appropriate intra- and inter-agency contact to facilitate the care of the individuals served.
• Prepares, maintains, and submits all assigned case records, charts, reports, forms, and other required documentation in a timely manner.
• Adheres to all policies, laws, regulations and codes of ethics and confidentiality as outlined by federal and state laws, and agency policies and procedures.

Education

Bachelor’s Degree in Social Work

Graduate Degree in clinical discipline (12 graduate-level credits in mental health or counseling)
