The Clinical Partnerships Core Co-Lead provides strategic leadership in developing and sustaining partnerships between the RHT initiative and healthcare providers, health systems, community-based organizations, and other clinical stakeholders across New Hampshire. Working collaboratively with RHT leadership and core leads, the Co-Lead ensures that RHT programs, workforce development, training, and other initiatives are informed by the needs and priorities of the healthcare delivery system, particularly in rural and underserved communities. The position serves as a key liaison to clinical partners, cultivates statewide engagement, identifies emerging workforce and clinical needs, supports the involvement of subject matter experts and healthcare professionals, and helps translate partner priorities into actionable programs and opportunities across the RHT ecosystem.
Duties/Responsibilities
- Strategic Leadership and Program Development (20%) Provide leadership as part of the Clinical Partnership Core leadership team for the planning, implementation, and continuous improvement of the Clinical Partnership Core. Work with the clinical core leadership team to develop annual work plans, timelines, objectives, milestones, and performance measures. In collaboration with the Director of Strategic Initiatives, lead the management of higher education/employer capacity data integrity, and governance in partnership with the rural health data analyst. Lead the implementation of articulation agreements, placement agreements, preceptor infrastructure support, and academic practice agreements. Collaborate with Clinical Partnership Core leadership, workforce entities, and partner organizations to align activities with statewide healthcare workforce priorities. In partnership with the Clinical Partnership Core leadership team, develop short- and long-term sustainability plans, including institutionalization and diversification of funding strategies. Support the development and implementation of innovation in clinical education, workforce partnerships, and rural healthcare workforce development. As part of the Clinical Partnership Core, provide strategic recommendations to project leadership regarding emerging workforce challenges and opportunities.
- Partnership Development and Stakeholder Engagement (20%) Support and maintain strategic relationships with healthcare providers, health systems, educational institutions, professional associations, workforce organizations, and community stakeholders. Coordinate and support regional clinical partnerships throughout New Hampshire. Convene stakeholder meetings, listening sessions, partner forums, and working groups to advance Clinical Partnership Core objectives. In collaboration with the Clinical Partnership Core, manage and expand employer partnership networks to increase clinical training, apprenticeship, experiential learning, and employment opportunities. Represent the Clinical Partnership Core at local, regional, and state meetings.
- Clinical Education Support and Workforce Development (20%) Support development and implementation strategies to recruit, train, retain, and support clinical preceptors. Coordinate establishment and expansion of clinical placement sites, particularly within rural and underserved communities. In partnership with the Clinical Partnership Core leadership team, collaborate with employers and educational partners to reduce barriers to student placements and experiential learning opportunities. Support creation and implementation of education-to-career pathway models spanning secondary education, community colleges, universities, and graduate programs. Support development of career ladder and career advancement opportunities for incumbent healthcare workers.
- Workforce Analysis, Planning, and Evaluation (25%) In collaboration with the Director of Strategic Initiatives, ensure data integrity (rural capacity assessment, incoming data from ELMI/ Employment Security, NH Rural Health Workforce Gap Analysis). In partnership with the Clinical Partnership Core team data analyst and Director of Strategic Initiatives, ensure workforce capacity matrices, pathway maps, gap analyses, and strategic planning tools are continuously updated. In partnership with the Clinical Partnership Core leadership team, identify priority occupations and workforce needs in rural counties, guided by rural health capacity assessments, ELMI/Employment Security Data, NH Rural Health Workforce Gap Analysis, and other related data sources. Collaborate with the Director of Strategic Initiatives and the project evaluation team to develop performance metrics and monitor outcomes. Utilize data and evaluation findings to inform decision-making, resource allocation, and program improvements aligned with program deliverables and timelines.
