Job summary

Hackensack Meridian Health Inc. is seeking an experienced RN for our acute care setting. The role emphasizes effective communication between sending and receiving facilities, documentation of encounters, and applying clinical judgment to admission and discharge criteria.

Requirements include RN certification from an accredited program and a minimum of two years in acute care. Preferred qualifications include a BSN, transfer center experience, and strong computer literacy with medical terminology

Qualifications

• RN graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
• Minimum of 2 years clinical experience in acute care setting.
• Preferred: BSN, transfer center experience, critical care and EMS experience, computer literacy, medical terminology, excellent communication skills, flexibility and adaptability, ability to multitask.

Responsibilities

• Facilitates communication between sending and receiving facilities, including telephone, computer software, and other communication and documentation tools.
• Documents a record of the encounter.
• Utilizes clinical expertise, critical thinking, and demonstrated knowledge of unit-specific admission and discharge criteria.
