UT Health Tyler is seeking a Surgery Center RN Clinical Coordinator for day shift in Tyler, TX. You will direct nursing staff, oversee care delivery for a patient group, and support the hospital mission while promoting teamwork.

Based in the Medical Education Building, our Level I trauma center and comprehensive subspecialties anchor regional care; Texas RN license and BLS are required, with BSN and ACLS preferred.

Qualifications

• Graduate from an approved school of nursing and licensed as an RN in Texas.
• BLS certification must be obtained within 14 days of hire or transfer into the role.
• Specific service line circulating and/or scrub experience.
• ACLS preferred.

Responsabilités

• The Clinical Coordinator directs and supervises staff assigned to the department and promotes collaboration among teams.
• The Coordinator ensures delivery of care for a defined patient group and evaluates care quality to improve outcomes.
• Care delivery must align with hospital philosophy and approved budget and coordinate with other departments.
• The role requires demonstrated knowledge to provide age-appropriate care for patients served.

• This position is located in the new Medical Education Building (MEB).

UT Health Tyler is the flagship hospital of the system serving hundreds of thousands annually. Specializing in advanced acute care medicine, our midtown location boasts a Level 1 trauma center and comprehensive stroke center, the region’s only EMCO program and a Level III NICU. Our medical staff includes more than 500 physicians and a full complement of subspecialty groups.

Responsibilities

• The Clinical Coordinator directs and supervises staff members assigned to the department, supports and interprets the mission of the hospital and promotes harmonious relationships among nursing personnel, medical staff, ancillary departments, patients and families.
• The Clinical Coordinator provides for the delivery of care to a specific group of patients and evaluates the quality of that care in a systematic fashion, in order to improve care.
• Ensure care is delivered within the framework of hospital philosophy and approved budget, and in concert with other departments and services within and outside of the hospital.
• The Coordinator must be able to demonstrate the knowledge and skills necessary to provide care appropriate to the age of the patients served.

Qualifications

Job Requirements

• Graduate from an approved school of nursing and licensed, as a Registered Nurse in the State of Texas
• Specific service line circulating and/or scrub experience
• BLS certification must be obtained within 14 days of hire or transfer into the role and prior to providing direct patient care

Preferred Job Requirements

• Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN)
• At least two years recent OR experience
• ACLS
