Job summary

The Medical University Hospital Authority (MUHA) is hiring an experienced ER nurse to join our team in Lancaster, SC. You will promote optimal patient outcomes, coordinate care from admission to discharge, and mentor junior staff in clinical skills and professional development.

Requirements include graduation from an accredited nursing program, SC RN licensure, and BLS certification; BSN is preferred. This is a day shift, 40 hours per week, with hourly pay.

Qualifications

• Graduate from an accredited nursing program; SC RN license required.
• BSN degree preferred.
• Current American Heart Association BLS certification required.

Responsibilities

• Promotes optimal outcomes for patients, reducing readmissions and staff education.

Job Description

Promotes optimal outcomes for patients, reducing readmissions, and staff education, facilitating reduction in the length of stay, and coordinating the standards of care and care delivery from admission to discharge. Develops and sets goals at the process, job, and interface level to ensure optimal patient care meets overall organizational goals. Ensures proper standards are followed for nursing practice and provides an interface between the support services and clinical services. Convey complex information, listen actively to staff concerns, relay information back to the management, working with management to facilitate learning and growth. Have patience and empathy with our new or newly graduated staff. Mentor clinical staff, guiding them in clinical skills and professional development.

Additional Job Description

Education

Graduated from an accredited school of nursing. Current licensure by the South Carolina State Board of Nursing. Bachelor's degree (BSN) preferred.

License/Certification

Current American Heart Association (AHA) Basic Life Support (BLS) certification is required. Current South Carolina or Compact State Nursing Licensure
