Job summary

Stepful, Inc. is launching a Radiologic Technology A.A.S. program leading to ARRT certification. You will serve as the Clinical Coordinator, building the clinical education component and selecting partner facilities where students train.

You'll collaborate with the Program Director, manage rotations, ensure safety and supervision, and travel to partner sites in Texas as needed while supporting accreditation and teaching activities.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or higher from an accredited institution.
• Current ARRT R.T.(R) certification.
• Current Texas GMRT certificate from the Texas Board of Medical Radiologic Technology.
• Minimum two years' clinical radiography experience.
• Minimum one year's experience as an instructor in a JRCERT-accredited program.
• Proficient in curriculum development, supervision, instruction, evaluation, and academic advising.

The opportunity:

Stepful is launching a Radiologic Technology A.A.S. program leading to ARRT (R) certification eligibility. We're partnering directly with employers to help them build their own RadTech programs, powered by Stepful: they sponsor the education of new talent, and we bring the accreditation, curriculum, instruction, and operations. Labs and clinicals happen inside their facilities, so students train where they'll eventually work, and employers build their own talent pipelines exactly where they need them.

You’ll be the Clinical Coordinator of record for the program: you’ll build the clinical education component from the ground up, decide which partner facilities are ready to take students, and make sure what happens at the bedside actually connects to what students learned in the classroom. Success in this role is measured through the program's clinical outcomes data and the term-by-term evaluation of how well clinical rotations correlate with classroom learning. You’ll work alongside the Program Director, who owns overall program operations and accreditation, and you’ll be supported by dedicated operations and partnerships teams.

This role is remote with travel to partner sites in Texas required, and reports to our Imagine Programs Lead. Per accreditation requirements, the Clinical Coordinator is a distinct role from the Program Director and is not identified as a clinical preceptor at any clinical setting.

What you’ll do:

Clinical curriculum and site network

• Correlate clinical and didactic education: own the alignment between what students learn in didactic and lab courses and what they’re asked to do in clinical rotations, sequence clinical objectives against the curriculum, and formally evaluate how well that correlation is working each term

• Build and qualify the clinical site network: conduct and document a pre-placement evaluation of every prospective partner facility to confirm a viable learning environment and sufficient procedure volume; secure accreditor recognition of each clinical setting before any student is assigned; maintain current, signed clinical affiliation agreements; and designate at least one clinical preceptor at each recognized setting

Placement, supervision, and safety

• Run clinical placement and scheduling: determine student clinical placement (placement is decided solely by the program), assure equitable access to mobile, surgical, and trauma procedures, hold the 1:1 student-to-clinical-staff ratio, cap clinical involvement at ten hours per day, and orient every student to every site

• Enforce supervision and radiation safety in the clinical setting: assure direct supervision until competency is achieved and for all repeats, surgical procedures, and mobile procedures; assure indirect supervision thereafter; distribute student radiation exposure reports within thirty school days; and complete MRI safety screening before clinical experience

Preceptor and student development

• Develop and support clinical preceptors: onboard preceptors at each site, train them on the clinical objectives and competency evaluation system, keep them current on program policies and student progress, and serve as their day-to-day point of contact

• Track clinical competency and advise students: monitor competency progression and completed clinical hours, provide timely and documented clinical advisement, and build remediation plans for students who fall behind

Accreditation, teaching, and travel

• Support accreditation and assessment: contribute clinical evidence to the self-study report, annual reports, substantive change filings, and site visit preparation for accreditors; participate in the program's systematic assessment plan and the annual analysis of clinical outcomes data

• Teach: participate in didactic and/or clinical instruction, with the opportunity to teach clinical courses for the first cohort

• Maintain professional currency: keep current knowledge of radiography practice and educational methodologies through documented continuing professional development, and stay current on program policies, procedures, and student progress

• Travel to partner sites for site readiness evaluations, preceptor development, clinical visits, student advisement, and accreditation visits, weighted toward new site launches — likely up to once monthly in 2026, scaling to up to 50% travel starting 2027; all travel and program-related expenses reimbursed

What you’ll bring:

• Reliable access to a major airport and availability to travel to Texas

• Bachelor's degree or higher from an institution accredited by an agency recognized by the U.S. Secretary of Education or CHEA

• Current ARRT R.T.(R) certification

• Current Texas GMRT certificate from the Texas Board of Medical Radiologic Technology

• Minimum two years' clinical experience in radiography

• Minimum one year's experience as an instructor in a JRCERT-accredited program

• Proficient in curriculum development, supervision, instruction, evaluation, and academic advising

• Working knowledge of the JRCERT Standards for an Accredited Educational Program in Radiography and of ABHES clinical experience requirements (or willingness to learn)

Bonus points if:

• Prior clinical coordinator or clinical instructor experience in a JRCERT-accredited radiography program

• Experience managing clinical education across multiple sites or health systems

The target base salary range for this opportunity is $80,000 - $90,000, and is part of a competitive total rewards package including equity and benefits. Individual pay may vary from the target range and is determined by a number of factors including experience, internal pay equity and other relevant business considerations.
