South of Broad Healthcare (SOBH) is expanding access to high-quality, community-based healthcare throughout southern Beaufort County and the surrounding Lowcountry. Grounded by a mission of delivering compassionate, patient-centered care, SOBH supports strategic growth designed to bring essential healthcare services closer to the people and communities we serve. At the center of SOBH is Bluffton Community Hospital, a new 28 bed, full-service hospital. Approximately 90,000 square foot facility will include a 24/7 emergency department, an acute inpatient nursing unit, surgical and endoscopy suites, a cardiac catheterization lab, advanced imaging, laboratory services, and additional outpatient capabilities. The hospital is scheduled for completion in late 2026, with patient care anticipated to being early 2027.

The Clinical Coordinator is responsible for directing and coordinating the workflow on the patient care unit for their assigned shift. The Clinical Coordinator’s work schedule will provide for leadership on days, evenings, nights and weekends. The Clinical Coordinator time commitment allows 50% or greater clinical oversight to ensure the delivery of quality patient care for all patients on the unit through their leadership and clinical expertise. This person is a role model for clinical competence and professional behavior. The Clinical Coordinator assists the Department Director to ensure the delivery of quality patient care for all patients on the unit through their leadership and clinical expertise. They serve as a resource for staff, patients, physicians, and other departments. Through collaboration with all staff assigned to the nursing unit and ancillary departments they ensure effective communications and cooperation. Under the leadership of the Department Director, the Clinical Coordinator supports the quality improvement, patient safety & patient satisfaction process. Assists the Department Director to ensure all processes are executed to comply with regulatory standards. Actively supports the Core Values, Mission & Vision of BMH.
