Job summary

Pullman Regional Hospital seeks a Clinical Coordinator - Registered Nurse to plan and execute patient care for diverse populations. This role coordinates multidisciplinary teams, ensures safe, high-quality nursing practice, and adheres to hospital policies and state practice standards.

Ideal candidates hold WA RN licensure with BLS/ACLS/PALS and complete TNCC/NRP within the stated timelines. This position requires shifts on three nights weekly, including rotating weekends, and offers

Qualifications

• Maintains nursing licensure in good standing in WA.
• BLS, ACLS, PALS certifications within 3 months of hire; TNCC and NRP within 6 months.
• Trauma education: 4 hours every 3 years; Stroke education: 8 hours annually.
• Demonstrates ability to perform required RN technical skills.
• Learns, applies, and adapts new patient care skills and equipment.

Responsibilities

• Plan and deliver professional nursing care for patient safety and effectiveness.
• Formulate patient care plans based on nursing assessments and evidence-based practices.
• Make decisions using nursing judgment to establish care plans for patients.
• Communicate and collaborate to support therapeutic relationships with patients and colleagues.
• Promote a positive work environment and equitable workload distribution.
• Stay current with nursing standards and hospital policies; complete annual competencies.

Pay Range:

The base pay range for this position is $47.37-$81.09 Hourly however, base pay offered may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience.

Position Overview:

The Registered Nurse is a clinical practitioner who implements and coordinates patient care specific to the patient population served. Ensures that quality care is provided in an effective and safe manner consistent with the hospital's policies and procedures and within the scope of the practice established by the State of Washington. Demonstrates performance consistent with the mission, vision, and values of Pullman Regional Hospital, the relationship-based care guiding principles, the philosophy of care, goals of the unit and organization, and demonstrates quality and effectiveness in work habits and clinical practice.

A Day in the Life:

Planning and prioritizing through professional delivery of nursing care with the goal of safe and effective patient care.
Information gathering to formulate a patient care delivery plan based on nursing assessment, utilizing evidenced based practices.
Decision-making based upon appropriate stewardship and professional nursing judgment, to establish an effective plan of care for each individual patient.
Communication and collaboration to promote a therapeutic relationship with patients and colleagues. Maintains a professional attitude.
Actively promotes and contributes to a positive work environment. Encourages equitable division of workload.
Accountable to stay current with the changes in professional nursing and hospital policy. Completion of regulatory and departmental annual competencies within the timeframe set by the organization.
Accountable to demonstrate work effectiveness through safe completion of assigned tasks in a timely manner.
Uses appropriate delegation to assist in patient care.
Follow high reliability practices set by the organization and report safety concerns. Active participation in quality improvement projects throughout the organization to support a safe work environment.
Participation in organizational wide New Employee Orientation and successful completion of departmental orientation.

About You!

This Job is For You if You Have:

• Maintain nursing licensure, in good standing, acceptable in the State of Washington.
• BLS, ACLS, PALS, certifications within 3 months of hire, TNCC and NRP within 6 months of hire.
• Four (4) hours of Trauma education every 3 years (active TNCC is acceptable) to meet Level 4 Trauma requirements.
• Eight (8) hours of Stroke specific education, annually to meet Acute Stroke Ready designation requirements.
• Demonstrates the ability to perform the required technical skills for a Registered Nurse.
• Demonstrates the ability to perform the required technical skills for specific department.
• Demonstrates the ability to learn, apply, and individualize new patient care skills and uses new equipment safely.
• Initiates and participates in activities that enhance daily operations of the unit and organization.
• Ensure quality patient care and adequate staffing for shifts.
• Provide clinical support to the nursing teams.
• Determine which hospital issues need to be expedited to administration.
• Demonstrate accurate assessment skills, appropriate to the age of the patient.
• Exceptional multi-tasking and time-management skills.
• Ability to work closely with a team and patients.

A Wow if You Have:

• BSN.
• Three years of charge nurse or supervisor experience.
• Experience working with both pediatric and adult patients.
• Critical care experience.
