This role solves the problem of moving from a human readable first, machine ready second content sources to the development of models to support the most effective and efficient deployment of our content into Optum solutions to maximize automation, speed to market and speed of updates. This requires deep knowledge of structured and unstructured data within EHR's today with an eye towards the evolving standards and the creativity to still create a human readable format that is true to the content source and/or evidence-based medicine.

QUALIFICATIONS/COMPETENCIES/SKILLS:
- Knowledge of code systems: LOINC, CPT, ICD-10, NDC, SNOMED CT, RxNorm
- Experience in working with major EHR vendor data (e.g., Cerner CDA/JSON structure, Epic CDA structure)
- Must possess strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Must possess problem-solving and critical thinking skills; ability to step through logical pathways to determine results.
- Must be results oriented, effective as both a team member and independent worker with attention to detail and ability to multi-task.
- Must have solid clinical or equivalent experience in varied clinical practice settings
- Must have demonstrated proficiency with various software applications, including but not limited to: SQL, MS Word, MS Excel, MS PowerPoint.
- Project management skills desirable.
- Basic understanding of software development phases/life cycles desirable.
EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS
Licensed Healthcare professional (e.g., RN, NP, PA, PT, OT, SLP, Psychologist, LICSW, Clinical Pharmacist, Pharm D) with active license in good standing required.
RELATED EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS/QUALIFICATIONS
- Experience in creating value sets
- Minimum 7 years of experience working with clinical informatics and terminology standards (to include SNOMED CT, LOINC and RxNorm) in healthcare
- Minimum of 3 years clinical experience
- Experience in working with major EHR vendor data (e.g., Cerner CDA/JSON structure, Epic CDA structure)

Primary Duties/Responsibilities:
- Compares and critiques available standards-based approaches to interoperability problems educating and implementing changes to content curation to support machine ready content that is achieved through analyzing workflows related to the capture, retrieval, and analysis of health data. Developing content models to better represent clinical information.
- Collaborate with Product Development (PD), Product Management (PM), Product Owner (PO), and Business Systems Analyst (BSA) as needed.
- Participate in developing project plans, monitoring tasks and ensuring on-time delivery of clinical development projects.
- Participate in industry & client research that contributes to product advancement as needed.
