Job description

[Facility Name] seeks a Clinical Concierge (Medical Assistant/Radiology Technologist) for their [Department Name] department responsible for registering, collecting payments, rooming, assisting the provider with care and treatment, discharging, and following up with patients. It is the role of the Clinical Concierge to accompany patients and their "secondary guests" through the entire experience to maximize clinical excellence, reduce treatment times, and enhance the patient experience before, during, and after the visit. The Clinical Concierge also assists the provider with front and back office duties in outpatient management on a rotating basis. Responsibilities include:

1. Perform a variety of clinical functions requiring knowledge of standard resources, discretion, good judgment, diplomacy, decision-making, and excellent customer service.
2. Act as a patient advocate with ongoing contact with providers, patients, families/significant others, community agencies, and care staff and management.

Qualifications:

All listed qualifications represent the minimum necessary to perform this role proficiently.

Education:

• Minimum: Graduate of an accredited Medical Assistant program or 2 years of equivalent work experience, plus successful completion of a Radiology Technologist program.

Certifications, Licenses, Registrations:

• Minimum: Valid California Radiologic Technologist certification and AHA Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Providers. Employees have six months from hire/transfer to obtain relevant certifications such as California LVN licensure or Medical Assistant certifications (e.g., Certified Medical Assistant, Clinical Medical Assistant Certification, RMA, CCMA, NCMA).

Technical Requirements:

• Minimum: Knowledge of urgent care medical specialty, medical terminology, electronic medical records (preferably Epic), and basic computer/email skills.
• Preferred: Ability to perform phlebotomy and administer injections.

Years of Related Work Experience:

• Minimum: 1 year as a Medical Assistant or equivalent, including experience with electronic health records and phlebotomy.
• Preferred: 1 year of Radiology Technologist experience in a healthcare setting, preferably urgent care.
