AdventHealth in Tampa, FL is seeking a full-time Medical Assistant to support clinic operations. You will prepare patients and equipment, perform screenings and tests, document results, administer medications, and maintain inventory while upholding safety and confidentiality.

The role requires travel as needed to support staffing, staying current with policies, completing annual competencies, and collaborating with a team to deliver whole-person care.

Formación

• Knowledge of health care field and medical terminology
• Knowledge of chronic disease management
• Ability to utilize internal and external resources
• Expertise in patient advocacy and navigating complex systems
• Ability to function in stressful environments and apply stress management techniques
• Ability to resolve issues and work independently within certification scope
• Ability to exercise sound judgement and maintain professionalism
• Ability to read, write, and type in English clearly and effectively
• Experience with computers required

Responsabilidades

• Travels as needed to fulfill staffing needs and support clinic operations.
• Ensures efficient office flow by preparing patients and equipment for treatment, initiating testing, and documenting results.
• Maintains OSHA regulatory enforcement and other office compliance, following safety processes and policies.
• Provides whole care to patients during office visits, including intake, test results, screenings, labs, medication administration, and closure of care gaps.
• Educates patients regarding tests, medications, and diet, providing clear and accurate instructions.
• Monitors and manages inventory, ensuring adequate supplies and functioning medical equipment.
