Montefiore Health System’s Chemistry Clinical Lab at the Moses campus performs routine and emergency tests on blood and body fluids using automated and manual equipment. The technologist ensures timely processing, reviews data before release, and maintains QC records in a fast-paced hospital setting.

Required are a Bachelor’s degree in a physical science (medical technology preferred), NY CLT license or limited permit, and at least 1 year of laboratory experience.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in physical science required; medical technology preferred.
• New York State CLT license or limited permit required.
• Minimum 1 year of experience as a Lab technologist.
• Experience with laboratory and hospital information systems and automated equipment is required.

Responsabilités

• Perform routine and emergency tests on blood, serum, spinal fluid and other body fluids using automated and manual equipment.
• Monitor specimens to ensure work is completed and review data prior to release.
• Report all panic, abnormal, etc. values and maintain quality control data.
• Maintain records and logs, assist with LIS entry, and support training of new staff.
