Responsibilities

• Work with patients in the Complex Medical Unit, focusing on Stroke and Neuro patients.
• Demonstrates expertise in complex clinical nursing skills with the rehabilitation population served.
• Participate in evaluation of unit-based activities, hold staff accountable for rounding, bedside handoff, use of white boards and timely response to call lights.
• Mentors staff, including new orientees and serves as a role model for staff.
• Maintain cooperative and professional relationships among health care and program model teams by communicating information clearly and responding to requests.
• Focus on providing customer satisfaction including patients, co-workers, visitors, vendors and physicians.

The Rehabilitation Hospital of Indiana (RHI) - a nationally ranked inpatient rehabilitation hospital - is seeking a Clinical Charge Nurse (Weekend Dayshift) to lead nursing operations supporting patients, families, and staff during critical recovery journeys.

The Clinical Charge Nurse is a registered nurse with a keen interest in Rehabilitation Nursing who holds a CRRN specialty and has a history of demonstrated clinical expertise and leadership. The Clinical Charge Nurse is responsible for managing all aspects of the care of patients on their assigned unit for their shift.

• Saturday and Sunday from 7:00am – 7:30pm

Qualifications

Required

• Minimum of three (3) years of experience as an RN or related position
• ACLS preferred
• Current Indiana State Board of Nursing Licensure and Registration
• CRRN required

Preferred

• Graduate of accredited School of Nursing, BSN preferred
