Job summary

Trinity Health in Dubuque, IA, seeks a Full-time Chaplain to provide spiritual care across the care continuum, addressing distress, grief, crisis interventions, and faith community collaboration. As a valued member of the health care team, you will assess religious needs, document in EMR, and develop programs that promote compassionate, faith-informed care while respecting diverse beliefs.

The role reports to the Spiritual Care Manager and offers opportunities for professional growth and ACPE

Qualifications

Master’s degree in Theology, Religion, Spiritual Care or related field is required.
1–3 years of Spiritual Care experience, including CPE training, is required.
Board Certified Chaplain (BCC) is strongly preferred.

Responsibilities

Addresses spiritual needs of patients, residents, families, and colleagues while supporting overall care.
Develops, conducts, and participates in programs of spiritual care to promote healthy communities.
Documents assessments, interventions, and outcomes in the EMR and coordinates with the care team.
Collaborates with faith leaders and respects diverse religious beliefs within care planning.
Reports to the Manager of Spiritual Care and may report to site supervisor as appropriate.
