This is a long-term contract. Benefits include vacation pay, sick pay, and a monthly benefit towards mileage and cell phone expenses.
If you have 3 to 4 years of experience working in a group home caring for individuals with intellectual and/or developmental disabilities (IDD), this could be the perfect opportunity for you.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Conduct detailed evaluations of provider performance and the presence of person-centered supports using applicable tools and guidelines.
- Initiate contact with service providers to establish interview and review schedules, discussing protocols, expectations, and responsibilities.
- Conduct interviews with individuals with IDD, family members, service providers, and/or direct service staff.
- Observe the service environment, follow professional protocols to gather information, and collect relevant data.
- Review documentation to evaluate supports and services and gather information regarding the quality of the person-centered service delivery system.
- Make determinations based on information gathered from interviews and reviews, adhering to proficiency standards.
- Establish and maintain a positive and respectful approach with individuals, families, providers, and support coordinators throughout the review process.
- Use professional judgment to determine when reports of abuse, neglect, or exploitation are warranted or when referrals to state staff are necessary to ensure safety.
- Report immediately in cases of abuse, neglect, or exploitation, following established protocols as a mandated reporter.
- Input data into a web-based application, summarize findings, generate recommendations for quality improvement, and complete written reports within established timeframes.
- Capture information to determine the need for further survey activity.
- Participate actively in development activities such as conference calls, professional meetings, and training sessions.
Qualifications:

Education and Experience:
- Minimum of an Associate's degree (Bachelor's preferred) in a human services field.
- At least three years of experience in human services, medical, or related fields, including one year in the field of intellectual and developmental disabilities. Exceptions require approval by the state.
- Specific degree or certification requirements may be dictated by contract.
Language Skills:
- Ability to read, analyze, and interpret reports and documents.
- Ability to respond to inquiries from clients, agencies, or community members.
- Ability to write professional reports and present information effectively.
- Effective communication skills with team members and clients.
- Active listening skills and ability to maintain professionalism in interactions.
