Status: Full-Time; Regular; Non-Exempt
Salary Range: $32.97 - $38.46 per hour [ $60,000 - $70,000 annually based on experience ]
Location: Bronx Criminal Court 215 E. 161st Street Bronx, NY 10451
Days/Hours: Monday – Friday, with rotating remote on call shifts (evening/weekend)
Position Summary:
The Fortune Society is seeking a participant-centered, strategic thinker to join our agency as we partner with the Bronx Criminal Court (BCC) to launch an innovative new referral-based program for women who are facing charges for non-federal offenses. Working alongside both judicial and non-judicial members of the BCC, and under the supervision of Fortune’s Behavioral Health clinical team, the Clinical Case Manager will be responsible for screening women at the point of arraignment to identify those in need of mental health services and/or treatment as well as those who may be victims of human trafficking, sexual exploitation, and/or domestic or sexual violence, and connecting them to services as appropriate.
The Case Manager will serve as the initial point of contact, responsible for candidate screenings and for making appropriate, real-time referrals. Therefore, the Case Manager must be able to demonstrate an ability to identify primary treatment/intervention needs in women, especially mental health disorders, substance abuse and other areas of concerns and rapidly connect them to appropriate internal/external referral sources. The Case Manager will work directly with the court’s resource coordinator / project director and report to the Presiding Judge of the Bronx Misdemeanor Mental Health Court. Candidates must have experience in the mental health and substance abuse fields, as well as strong organizational skills.

The right candidate will also demonstrate a positive attitude with patience and flexibility of schedule that a person entering treatment may demonstrate the need for.
Time Management & Personal Organization: This person shall demonstrate good time management including making, keeping, and/or rescheduling appointments with Fortune Society staff, external referral sources, and/or clients in a professional manner with appropriate advance notice. They will be able to independently manage their daily scheduled activities amidst an ever-changing, dynamic work environment.
Office Skills: This position requires the use of multiple internal and external data warehouses and tracking systems which requires strong computer proficiency (i.e. MS Office, Excel, electronic health record systems, intranets, etc.).
