An opportunity at a leading university for a Clinical Case Manager to support student health and wellness. This role entails coordinating care plans, advocating for student needs, and collaborating with diverse campus departments to enhance health outcomes. Ideal candidates will hold a Master's degree in Social Work, possess relevant licensure, and have experience in mental health counseling.
The Clinical Case Manager will oversee the comprehensive care of students with various health needs, ongoing health conditions, and mental wellness issues. This position is responsible for coordinating and facilitating individualized care plans in conjunction with internal and external healthcare providers, campus partners and all five Health & Wellness departments (BWELL, CAPS, EMS, Health Services, SAS). Key responsibilities include advocating for student health needs, offering education and guidance to help students effectively manage their health conditions, and providing support in maneuvering through the complexities of the healthcare system. The Clinical Case Manager will serve as a crucial link, ensuring seamless coordination between interdisciplinary teams to optimize student health outcomes and academic success.
Job Qualifications
Education and Experience
Master's degree in Social Work (MSW) from an accredited institution.
Current LICSW licensure in the state of practice and license eligible in the State of RI at the time of hire.
Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in mental health counseling, preferably in a higher education setting.
Job Competencies
Strong knowledge of mental health diagnoses, treatment modalities, and crisis intervention techniques
Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
Skills, knowledge, and experience specifically focused on the needs of all students including those of color, students from indigenous communities, LGBTQ students, international students, students from all religious affiliations (Muslim, Hindu, Buddhist, and others), undocumented students, or first-generation college students on a university campus.
Proficiency in using electronic health records.
