Job summary

Astera Health is seeking a Patient Care Technician to support licensed staff in clinical operations and patient care. The role involves rooming patients, taking vital signs, and assisting with documentation and referrals. The position emphasizes teamwork, confidentiality, and high-quality patient service.

Qualifications include a high school diploma or GED and healthcare experience or relevant education. BLS certification is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Room patients and obtain data (height, weight, vitals, etc.).
• Perform reception/clerical tasks and assist with referrals and scheduling.
• Transfer patients within the facility and prepare exam rooms for use.
• Document accurately in patient charts and maintain confidentiality.
• Assist with ambulation and movement of patients as directed.
• Support with previsit planning and data collection for quality care.
