The UI Heart and Vascular Center is seeking a full time (100%) Clinical Care/Specialized Services Supervisor to provide managerial and clinical leadership support in the Adult Electrophysiology Labs to assure that all staff provide safe clinical care and have the education, methods, and resources to accomplish performance objectives.

Work Schedule
- 4 - 10 hour Day shifts with Rotating day off (Monday - Friday)
- Rotating late stay shifts
- No nights, weekends, or holidays
Duties To Include
- Ensure regulatory quality checks are completed on an annual basis. Develop quality standards. Allocate resources to meet quality and productivity expectation.
- Identify supply needs, trends, and forecasts to provide quality patient care in the electrophysiology labs. Coordinate and facilitate the EP schedule to ensure lab efficiency.
- Collaborate with HVC leadership and medical directors regarding process improvements and equipment budgets.
- Provide clinical education to develop staff competency (imaging techs).
- Ensure staff compliances are applicable and complete. Assist with onboarding of new imaging tech employees.
- In collaboration with the nursing manger and HVC Human Resources Manager, hire, develop, and manage the performance of staff within the labs.
- Onboard new imaging technologists: assist clinical practice lead with creating orientation schedules/checklists; creating an equipment check-list specific to EP.
- Assist with annual performance evaluations for EP Imaging Technologists.
- Analyze situations fully and accurately and reach productive decisions.
- Be knowledgeable about and have a comfortable understanding of legislation and regulatory bodies affecting healthcare and clinical practices. Ensure all regulatory policies, protocols, guidelines and/or practices for are followed and/or met.
- Apply organization’s performance management system, practices, and tools to develop and improve individual, team, and organizational performance.
- Bridge the gap between nurses and radiographers in the EP lab environment.
- Assist with billing/logs on a daily basis.
- Create check lists related to charge and recorder duties.
- Complete annual lead checks and tracking to comply with University policy for Integrity of Lead Aprons and Thyroid Shields.
- Assist clinical practice lead with EP specific annual competencies; accurately record completions within the appropriate software.
- Carry out daily room/equipment checks.
- Develop and improve workflow efficiencies.
- Assist with coordinating EP Lab scheduling.
- Weekly: anesthesia needs for the following week, verifying Vendor schedule and notification.
- Day(s) prior: finalizing next day schedule including the order of cases, make room assignments, communicate with assigned anesthesia team, communicate with CPRU regarding any issues with patients coming next day, follow-up with vendors if needed, huddle with staff about next day cases.
- Day of: coordinate schedule changes, take lead on problems that arise in coordination with lab management or physician, staffing lab as needed, ensure patients have arrived and work-up complete, periodically round through each lab for updates.

Education Requirement
- Bachelors degree in relevant healthcare field or equivalent combination of education and experience
Experience Requirements
- Minimum 3-5 years of direct EP experience
- Certification by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT)
- Demonstrated leadership abilities and skills shown by the ability to work independently and to perform multiple tasks simultaneously
- Demonstrated experience functioning within multidisciplinary settings
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- Must be proficient in computer software applications
Desired Qualifications
- Experience working in an academic health center
- Experience with personnel, team, and/or project management
- Experience developing and delivering position based technical training
