Job summary

Memorial Healthcare System in Hollywood, FL seeks an experienced Nursing Leader to manage daily operations of a department and oversee care quality. You will coordinate patient assessment-based care, monitor patient conditions, and ensure regulatory compliance while guiding staff performance and staffing decisions.

Ideal candidates hold a Florida RN license with BLS, ACLS (ICU/ED areas), and PALS for pediatrics, with new RNs given up to six months to obtain ACLS/PALS.

Qualifications

• Accredited Nursing program (Required)
• RN license in Florida
• BLS certification (American Heart Association)
• ACLS required for ICU/ED/PACU/Specialty areas
• PALS required for pediatric areas
• Newly licensed RNs have 6 months to obtain ACLS/PALS

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily department, unit, or function operations
• Plan, implement, and evaluate patient care based on assessments
• Monitor, document and communicate patient condition
• Manage staff relations, performance, scheduling, recruitment, payroll
• Ensure regulatory compliance and equipment/supply readiness
• Develop departmental goals aligned with organizational strategy
• Assess quality of patient care and address patient/family needs
