Job summary

Northside Hospital is seeking a Clinical Care Associate to provide nursing assistance and patient care for the comfort, safety and personal needs of patients. You will assist patients with activities of daily living and perform procedures for physical hygiene and comfort within a unit-based, multidisciplinary team.

Requirements include a Georgia Registry CNA or equivalent CMA/AMT/NHA certification, BLS, and at least 1 year of relevant patient care experience.

Qualifications

• 1 year of patient care experience in CNA, PCT, Military Medic, ED Tech or related acute care.
• Must have Visual color acuity for role in specific units.
• Georgia Registry CNA credential is required.
• BLS certification (AHA) required.

• Performs duties within a unit-based, self-directed patient care team and maintains patient charts and physician orders.

Responsibilities

The Clinical Care Associate provides nursing assistance and patient care for the comfort, safety and personal needs of patients. Assists patients with activities of daily living and performs procedures for physical hygiene and comfort of patients. Performs duties within the construct of a unit‑based, self‑directed, multidisciplinary patient care team while sharing various tasks with other licensed and non‑licensed members. Performs general clerical and reception duties according to needs of patient unit or department. Position is characterized by preparing and maintaining patient charts, transcribing physician orders, and entering information into computerized patient care system.

Qualifications

REQUIRED

• Certified Nursing Assistant on the Georgia Registry
• Must hold American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS)
• One (1) year of patient care experience, as a CNA, PCT, Military Medic, ED Tech or other relevant acute, direct patient care experience.
• Visual color acuity depending on the role in specific units.

Certified Medical Assistant awarded by the American Association of Medical Assistants (AAMA)

OR

Registered Medical Assistant awarded by the American Medical Technologists (AMT)

OR

Certified Clinical Medical Assistant awarded by the National Healthcareer Association (NHA)
