Job summary

Northside Hospital Inc. is seeking a Clinical Care Associate to provide nursing assistance and direct patient care in a high-acuity setting in the Atlanta region. The position supports daily living activities, hygiene, and safety while documenting care in the computerized system.

The ideal candidate holds a Georgia CNA, CMA, RMA, or CCMA certification with BLS and at least one year of acute patient care experience. This night shift (7PM–7:30AM) includes weekend work and no on-call requirement.

Qualifications

• Certified Nursing Assistant on the Georgia Registry is required.
• Certified Medical Assistant (AAMA) certification is required.
• Registered Medical Assistant (AMT) certification is required.
• Certified Clinical Medical Assistant (NHA) certification is required.
• American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS) certification is required.
• One year of patient care experience (CNA, PCT, Military Medic, ED Tech or similar) is required.
• Color vision acuity may be required depending on unit.

Responsibilities

• Provides nursing assistance and patient care for comfort, safety and personal needs of patients.
• Assists patients with activities of daily living and performs hygiene-related procedures.
• Maintains patient charts, transcribes physician orders, and enters information into the patient care system.
• Works within a unit-based, self-directed, multidisciplinary team and shares tasks with licensed and non-licensed staff.

Responsibilities

The Clinical Care Associate provides nursing assistance and patient care for the comfort, safety and personal needs of patients. Assists patients with activities of daily living and performs procedures for physical hygiene and comfort of patients. Performs duties within the construct of a unit‑based, self‑directed, multidisciplinary patient care team while sharing various tasks with other licensed and non‑licensed members. Performs general clerical and reception duties according to needs of patient unit or department. Position is characterized by preparing and maintaining patient charts, transcribing physician orders, and entering information into computerized patient care system.

Qualifications

REQUIRED

• Certified Nursing Assistant on the Georgia Registry
• OR
• Certified Medical Assistant awarded by the American Association of Medical Assistants (AAMA)
• OR
• Registered Medical Assistant awarded by the American Medical Technologists (AMT)
• OR
• Certified Clinical Medical Assistant awarded by the National Healthcareer Association (NHA)
• Must hold American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS)
• One (1) year of patient care experience, as a CNA, PCT, Military Medic, ED Tech or other relevant acute, direct patient care experience.
• Visual color acuity depending on the role in specific units.
