Job summary

Northside Hospital is seeking a Clinical Care Associate to provide nursing assistance and direct patient care on the unit. You will support activities of daily living and help maintain patient comfort and safety in a collaborative team environment.

Responsibilities include charting, transcribing orders, and entering data into the computerized system, along with light clerical tasks to ensure smooth patient flow. Prior CNA or CMA experience preferred, with BLS required.

Qualifications

• Georgia Registry CNA required.
• American Heart Association BLS required.
• 1 year of direct patient care experience.
• Visual color acuity as required by unit.
• CMA/RMA/CCMA credentials accepted as alternative.
• Other relevant acute care experience may be considered.

Responsibilities

• Provide nursing assistance and patient care for comfort, safety and daily needs.
• Prepare and maintain patient charts; transcribe physician orders.
• Enter information into computerized patient care system.
• Perform general clerical duties as needed on the patient unit.

Responsibilities

The Clinical Care Associate provides nursing assistance and patient care for the comfort, safety and personal needs of patients. Assists patients with activities of daily living and performs procedures for physical hygiene and comfort of patients. Performs duties within the construct of a unit‑based, self‑directed, multidisciplinary patient care team while sharing various tasks with other licensed and non‑licensed members. Performs general clerical and reception duties according to needs of patient unit or department. Position is characterized by preparing and maintaining patient charts, transcribing physician orders, and entering information into computerized patient care system.

Qualifications

REQUIRED

• Certified Nursing Assistant on the Georgia Registry
• Must hold American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS)
• One (1) year of patient care experience, as a CNA, PCT, Military Medic, ED Tech or other relevant acute, direct patient care experience.
• Visual color acuity depending on the role in specific units.

Certified Medical Assistant awarded by the American Association of Medical Assistants (AAMA)

OR

Registered Medical Assistant awarded by the American Medical Technologists (AMT)

OR

Certified Clinical Medical Assistant awarded by the National Healthcareer Association (NHA)
