Résumé du poste

Turnberry Solutions, Inc. in the United States is seeking a Clinical Business Systems Analyst to join the Business Transformation practice. You will analyze study data requirements, define integration mappings, and translate clinical concepts for technical delivery teams. The role emphasizes data confidentiality, SOP adherence, and cross-functional collaboration across developers and stakeholders. Remote-friendly with a 14+ month engagement.

Qualifications

  • Demonstrated experience as a Business Systems Analyst, Systems Analyst, or Technical Business Analyst supporting clinical systems or clinical trial data.
  • Working knowledge of clinical trial terminology and workflows, including subjects, sites, visits/events, serious adverse events, protocol deviations and study enrollment milestones.
  • Practical understanding of Electronic Data Capture (EDC) systems, the study information they contain and how study-specific specifications govern data interpretation.
  • Experience analyzing data specifications, defining integration requirements and creating source-to-target mappings.
  • Experience working within a validated systems environment governed by SOPs, controlled templates, documentation, and formal approvals.
  • Understanding of clinical data confidentiality, study blinding and the consequences of inappropriate data disclosure.
  • Ability to interpret technical documentation and communicate requirements clearly to both business stakeholders and developers.
  • Strong analytical judgment: able to investigate routine questions, recognize risks and elevate uncertainty appropriately.
  • Ability to become productive with focused onboarding to client-specific processes, without extensive training in clinical trial fundamentals.
  • Strong ownership, attention to detail and follow-through in a distributed delivery environment.

Responsabilités

  • Analyze clinical study requirements, EDC specifications, data extracts, and related business inputs to define integration requirements.
  • Develop and maintain source-to-target mappings, document field definitions, transformation rules, assumptions and questions using client’s approved templates.
  • Translate clinical concepts including subjects, sites, visits, and study events into clear requirements for technical delivery teams.
  • Identify sensitive data and potential risks involving confidentiality, blinded information, or unintended disclosure; elevate questions through established processes.
  • Follow client SOPs, documentation standards, and required approval sequence, ensuring requirements are completed and approved before development begins.
  • Contribute to effort estimation and delivery baselining by documenting complexity, assumptions, and dependencies.

Overview: Every Turnberry consultant belongs to a practice, an internal group of consultants and leaders with shared experience and expertise. Each of these practices aligns to one of the core services Turnberry offers to clients. As a Clinical Business Systems Analyst, you will join Turnberry's Business Transformation practice. Turnberry's Business Transformation practice is dedicated to diagnosing and addressing core business challenges including regulatory compliance, full-scale implementation, managing change and driving continuous improvement across transformation initiatives.

Responsibilities
  • Analyze clinical study requirements, EDC specifications, data extracts, and related business inputs to define integration requirements
  • Develop and maintain source-to-target mappings, document field definitions, transformation rules, assumptions and questions using client’s approved templates
  • Interpret study-specific data structures and name conventions rather than assuming fields are consistent across studies or platforms
  • Translate clinical concepts including subjects, sites, visits, and study events into clear requirements for technical delivery teams
  • Analyze how clinical data and, where applicable, study budget information support downstream workflows such as investigator/site payments
  • Identify sensitive data and potential risks involving confidentiality, blinded information, or unintended disclosure; elevate questions through established processes
  • Follow client SOPs, documentation standards, and required approval sequence, ensuring requirements are completed and approved before development begins
  • Resolve routine mapping and requirements questions independently, while raising material ambiguities promptly rather than making unsupported assumptions
  • Partner with developers and technical leads to clarify requirements and assess whether proposed solutions align with the approved specifications
  • Support requirements review, test clarification and defect triage, help distinguish implementation defects from changes to approved requirements
  • Maintain documentation and share knowledge to support team continuity, repeatable delivery and onboarding
  • Contribute to effort estimation and delivery baselining by documenting complexity, assumptions, and dependencies
Qualifications
  • Demonstrated experience as a Business Systems Analyst, Systems Analyst, or Technical Business Analyst supporting clinical systems or clinical trial data

  • Ability to become productive with focused onboarding to client-specific processes, without extensive training in clinical trial fundamentals
  • Strong ownership, attention to detail and follow-through in a distributed delivery environment
Preferred Qualifications
  • Direct experience with clinical study integrations, integration revisions or decommissioning
  • Experience supporting a CRO, clinical technology provider or sponsor’s clinical systems organization
  • Familiarity with EDC platforms such as Medidata Rave, Veeva or comparable systems
  • Experience with investigator/site payment integrations or combining study event data with budget and payment rules
  • SQL skills for inspecting data and validating mappings
  • Familiarity with integrations delivered using SQL Server, SSIS, C# or APIs; hands-on development is not required
  • Experience supporting reporting or Power BI requirements related to clinical operations
  • Prior involvement in delivery estimation, complexity classification or managed-service capacity baselining
