Job summary

Cape Fear Valley Medical Center in Fayetteville, NC seeks a Clinical Technology BMET to perform planned maintenance, safety testing, calibration, and repairs on general diagnostic and therapeutic medical equipment. You will install, service and document activities, coordinating with clinical staff and contributing to on-call coverage.

Requirements include high school graduation and 1–2 years of BMET experience; an AS degree in Biomedical Electronics is preferred.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• AS degree in Biomedical Electronics preferred.
• 1–2 years experience in maintenance/repair of medical equipment.

Responsibilities

• Perform PM procedures on clinical equipment per manufacturers' guidelines.
• Diagnose and repair equipment using electrical/thermodynamic knowledge.
• Document maintenance actions and communicate status to CTS/clinical staff.
• Coordinate with vendors and schedule servicing with minimal disruption to patient care.
• Provide on-call service coverage as needed.
