Job summary

ICL in Bronx, NY is seeking a Behavior Intervention Specialist to oversee clinical programming for adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities. Under supervision, you will conduct behavioral assessments, develop behavior support plans, train staff, and monitor progress to ensure effective service delivery.

Qualifications

  • Master’s degree in psychology or related field required.
  • At least one year of clinical experience working with individuals with intellectual and/or developmental disabilities.
  • BCBA certification preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct initial and annual psychological assessments under supervision.
  • Assess behavior and implement programs to increase adaptive behaviors and decrease maladaptive behaviors.
  • Develop measurable behavior plans and ensure staff have access to required materials and documentation.
  • Train staff on behavior support plans and provide ongoing supervision.
  • Monitor program implementation through observation, data review, and staff interviews.
  • Prepare monthly progress summaries and annual/other required reports.
  • Collaborate with psychiatrists and complete required documentation for consults.

Education

Master’s Degree in Psychology or related field
BCBA certification preferred
