Job summary

You will administer tests, interpret results, document in the electronic medical records system, and perform otoscopic exams and cerumen management. Ongoing education and calibration checks of equipment are also part of the job.

Qualifications

• Master’s or Doctorate in Audiology required.
• State licensure as an Audiologist required.
• Experience with computerized charting at the time of visit preferred.
• Typing at least 35 words per minute required.

Responsibilities

• Administers and interprets a variety of audiology tests (air/bone conduction, speech tests) to determine hearing impairment.
• Evaluates results in context of medical records and past audiograms to determine prognosis and cause of hearing loss.
• Operates EMR software and databases; enters, modifies, and accesses information.
• Maintains patient confidentiality per HIPAA.
• Conducts otoscopic examinations and cerumen management; performs calibration checks of audiometric equipment.
• Reviews claimant records as needed; participates in continuing education and quality improvement.
