Job summary

Advocate Health in Wisconsin seeks a licensed Audiologist to perform and interpret audiological evaluations, diagnosing hearing and vestibular disorders and forming care plans. You will prescribe hearing aids and assistive devices, troubleshoot devices, and document patient care per policy.

You will counsel patients and families, participate in quality initiatives, and mentor staff while supporting training and program development across affiliated sites.

Responsibilities

• Performs and interprets audiological evaluations to determine type and severity of hearing loss, vestibular disorder, or other auditory disorder.
• Establishes a plan of care and implements individual treatment based on evaluation results and functional goals.
• Prescribes and dispenses hearing aids, assistive listening devices, and hearing protection devices; troubleshoots and arranges repairs.
• Completes documentation for patient care and billing per department policy.
• Counsels patients and families regarding hearing loss and amplification and addresses service or charge concerns.
• Participates in performance improvement activities to enhance patient outcomes and quality of care.
• Applies insurance guidelines for proper authorization of services.
• Mentors staff, develops training, and supports clinical guidelines and orientation.
• Participates in education programs for students from affiliated institutions.
• Manages assigned caseload and coordinates coverage as needed.
• Maintains inventory of hearing aids and supplies.
