Job summary

The University of Chicago's Department of Pediatrics, Section of Neonatology, seeks Clinical Associates at full-time effort for renewable terms of up to three years. Appointees will provide neonatal care primarily at Community Hospital in Munster, IN, with the possibility of additional off-site community hospitals.

These positions do not require teaching or scholarly activity. They will attend deliveries, perform resuscitations and codes, and stabilize patients for transport while caring for

Qualifications

  • Must have a medical doctorate or equivalent and be eligible for Indiana licensure.
  • Board certification or eligibility in Neonatal-Perinatal Medicine.
  • Demonstrated ability to care for high-acuity neonates in Level II/III settings.

Responsibilities

  • Provide neonatal care at Community Hospital in Munster, IN and other off-site facilities as needed.
  • Attend deliveries and perform neonatal resuscitations and codes.
  • Stabilize patients for inter-hospital transport and ongoing NICU care.
  • Care for enhanced Level 2 and tertiary NICU patients as part of the team.
