Job Description

The Clinical Assistant is responsible for providing patient care in the clinic and related administrative duties. This is a temporary, part-time (0.625 FTE) position working Monday through Friday at our Blaine, Plymouth, Otsego, and Coon Rapids locations.

Essential Functions

• Prepare, stock, and clean exam rooms
• Room patients and prepare for exams
• Maintain an organized clinical flow
• Gather and verify patient information and medical data
• Assist with documentation in electronic health records
• Prepare for injections, change dressings, and assist with sutures/staples removal
• Apply and remove casts
• Ensure coding requirements are followed during data entry
• Enter medical orders as a prescribing delegate under provider supervision
• Support multiple specialties as needed

Additional Responsibilities

• Assist Care Coordinator with patient care services
• Manage medical supply inventory and ordering
• Respond to patient calls and document messages
• Perform other duties as assigned

Qualifications

• High School diploma/GED or equivalent
• Certified Medical Assistant (CMA), Certified Athletic Trainer (AT-C), or Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA); or equivalent experience preferred
• Understanding of medical terminology, anatomy, and physiology
• Knowledge of diagnostic procedures, pharmacology, and treatment assessments preferred
