Job description

The Clinical Assistant is responsible for providing patient care in the clinic and handling related administrative duties.

This is a part-time (0.9 FTE) position working variable hours Monday through Friday at our Maple Grove, Plymouth, and Robbinsdale clinics. The role includes evening and weekend shifts within our Orthopedic Urgent Cares as needed.

Twin Cities Orthopedics is an operating division of Infinite Health Collaborative (i-Health), a group of local medical practices owned and led by physicians, dedicated to giving patients more control over their healthcare.

Essential Functions:

• Prepare, stock, and clean exam rooms
• Room patients and prepare for exams
• Maintain organized clinical flow
• Gather and verify patient information and medical data
• Assist with documentation in electronic health records
• Prepare for injections, change dressings, apply medical equipment, and remove sutures/staples under provider supervision
• Apply and remove casts
• Ensure proper coding during patient data entry
• Act as a prescribing delegate for medical orders under provider supervision
• Support multiple specialties
• Assist Care Coordinator, manage medical supplies, and respond to patient calls with documentation
• Perform other duties as assigned

Education and Experience Requirements:

• High School diploma/GED or equivalent
• Certified Medical Assistant (CMA), Certified Athletic Trainer (AT-C), Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA), or equivalent experience preferred
• Understanding of medical terminology, anatomy, and physiology
• Knowledge of diagnostic procedures, pharmacology, and treatment assessments preferred

• Starting pay varies based on experience
• $1,500 sign-on bonus with 12-month commitment (not available to internal applicants)
