Job summary

Boston Children's Hospital is seeking a Clinical Assistant to support the General Surgery Clinic. The role involves direct and indirect patient care under the supervision of a registered nurse, with duties including vital signs, clerical tasks, and coordinating with the RN on prior authorizations.

The position also requires answering the prescription refill line, room setup, and inventory management, with a rotation between the Boston and Waltham campuses.

Qualifications

• HS Diploma or GED required.
• CNA certification preferred.
• 1 year Clinical Assistant experience in outpatient pediatric setting highly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Under the direction of the RN, the Clinical Assistant performs duties of direct and indirect patient care.
• Supports the RN with clinical tasks.
• Obtains and records vital signs and growth parameters and performs clerical duties.
• Assists RN in completing prior authorization forms.
• Answers prescription refill line.
• Prepares room and stocks supplies and equipment.
• Rotates between Boston and Waltham.
