Job summary

Qualifications

• A relevant graduate degree (MS, MA, MDes, MFA, or PhD) or a minimum of ten years of professional practice in graphic design or closely related areas, with evidence of continued professional engagement.
• University-level teaching experience in areas such as interaction design, web design, motion design, branding, art direction, publication design, typography, or illustration.
• Current hands-on proficiency with industry-standard design software and workflows, with the ability to adapt to emerging tools and practices.

Responsibilities

• Teach undergraduate students in the graphic design concentration, connecting professional experience with practice-based learning.
• Mentor students and contribute service to the communication design program, college, university, and profession.
• Maintain an active program of professional practice, professional development, and scholarship appropriate to a clinical position.
