The Ernest Mario School of Pharmacy at Rutgers, The State University of New Jersey, invites applications for a full-time, non-tenure track faculty position. The faculty member will hold a clinical appointment at Raritan Bay Medical Center (RBMC) in Behavioral Health.
The School is recognized nationally and internationally for its challenging and dynamic programs leading to the Doctor of Pharmacy degree. The Department of Pharmacy Practice and Administration focuses on clinical and regulatory aspects of pharmacy practice, preparing students to provide pharmaceutical care in various settings.
RBMC, located in Perth Amboy and Old Bridge, NJ, is a 347-bed Magnet-designated medical center offering postgraduate medical education. The Behavioral Health program at RBMC includes inpatient, emergency, and outpatient services, with specialties in geropsychiatry and dual diagnosis.
The faculty member will collaborate with healthcare professionals to optimize patient care, develop clinical and quality improvement activities, and participate in research and policy development. Responsibilities include practicing under collaborative agreements, participating in quality initiatives, providing interprofessional education, and supporting community outreach and precepting.
Applicants must have a Doctor of Pharmacy degree, at least two years of residency training with a PGY-2 in psychiatry/Behavioral Health or equivalent experience, and be eligible for licensure in New Jersey. Board certification is preferred. Candidates should be motivated, team-oriented, and possess excellent communication skills.
