Job summary

Corewell Health is seeking a Clinical Assistant for the Taylor area, supporting Primary Care Taylor - Medical Group East Oakwood Market. This PRN role handles patient care tasks, clerical duties, and supplies management under RN direction.

Responsibilities include care delivery per plan, documentation in the EMR, and coordinating daily work based on unit priorities, with on-site duties in daytime shifts.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Completion of nursing assistant program and/or one year of nursing assistant experience preferred.
• BLS certification (AHA) within 180 days after hire or ARC equivalent required.
• Nursing Assistant certification (LARA-BCHS) upon hire preferred.

Job description

This PRN role will be supporting Taylor, Dearborn, Southgate, Wyandotte and possibly other surrounding cities.

About the unit

The Clinical Assistant is a member of the staff who coordinates aspects of patient care by managing communication and clerical tasks essential to the functioning of the department. In addition to communication and clerical tasks, she/he monitors and stocks supplies. The Clinical Assistant also provides patient care and related functions as delegated by and under the direction of a registered nurse or designee.

• Clerical/manages supplies/equipment in designated care areas.
• Provides care to the patient according to the plan of care, unit routine and hospital policy. Documents in electronic medical record.

Qualifications

• Required High School Diploma or equivalent
• Completion of nursing assistant program and/or one year of nursing assistant experience. Preferred
• CRT-Basic Life Support (BLS) - AHA American Heart Association 180 Days required Or
• CRT-Basic Life Support (BLS) - ARC American Red Cross required
• CRT-Nursing Assistant - LARA-BCHS Michigan Department of Licensing & Regulatory Affairs Upon Hire preferred
