Job summary

Twin Cities Orthopedics, operating as part of i-Health, seeks a Clinical Assistant to deliver patient care and handle essential clinic administration at the Waconia and Chaska locations with potential travel to western suburb sites.

Responsibilities include preparing exam rooms, assisting with procedures, data entry into EHR, inventory, and coordinating care under provider supervision. Requires CMA/AT-C/CNA or equivalent experience and strong medical terminology knowledge.

Qualifications

• High School diploma/GED required.
• CMA, AT-C, or CNA certification preferred.
• Understanding of medical terminology, anatomy, and physiology required.
• Knowledge of diagnostic procedures, pharmacology, and treatment assessments preferred.

Responsibilities

• Prepare, stock, and clean exam room.
• Room patients and prepare for exam.
• Maintain an efficient, organized clinical flow.
• Gather and verify pertinent patient information; compile patient medical data.
• Assist with documentation of patient data into electronic health records system.
• Prep for injections, change dressings, apply durable medical equipment, and remove sutures/staples under provider direction.
• Application and removal of casts.
• Ensure coding requirements are followed during entry of patient information.
• Enter medical orders into the CPOE under direct supervision of the provider.
• Support multiple specialties; assist Care Coordinator with patient care services; assist with medical supply inventory and ordering; screen patient calls and document messages.
