Job summary

Washington Gastroenterology is seeking a Full-time Clinical Assistant at our Bellevue clinic to support patient care and front-office operations. The role offers an entry-level pathway to MA-R licensure with on-site training and exposure to medical office workflows.

Key duties include preparing patients, updating records, scheduling, and coordinating tests, with a focus on professional communication and teamwork in a fast-paced ambulatory setting.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Medical field education at a technical college or equivalent preferred.
• MA-R licensure preferred or must be obtained within 60 days of hire.
• Current CPR certification preferred or must be obtained within 30 days of hire.
• One year clinical and/or medical office experience required or equivalent education/experience.

Responsibilities

• Prepares patient for examination by greeting patient, taking vitals, and escorting to exam room.
• Updates and documents medications, allergies, health history in medical record.
• Provides instruction and education to patients on tests and procedures.
• Manages routine clinic in-box requests.
• Supports administrative functions of the medical office.
• Assists in scheduling procedures, labs, x-ray, and follow-up visits.
• Documents all patient care encounters accurately and timely.
• Maintains exam rooms and restocks as needed.
• Identifies safety issues and notifies Clinic Manager.
• Other duties as assigned.
