Washington Gastroenterology in Tacoma, WA seeks a Full-time Clinical Assistant to join our clinic. This entry-level role is ideal for someone with medical office experience aiming to obtain MA-R licensure.

The Clinical Assistant provides direct patient care, supports exam preparation, records vitals, and helps schedule procedures as needed. You will maintain patient records, educate patients on tests, and coordinate with administrative staff.

Formación

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Medical field education at a technical college preferred.
• MA-R licensure preferred or must be obtained within 60 days of hire.
• CPR certification preferred or must be obtained within 30 days of hire.
• One year clinical or medical office experience required or equivalent.

Responsabilidades

• Prepares patient for examination by greeting patient and taking vitals.
• Updates and documents medications, allergies, and health history in the chart.
• Provides patient education on tests and procedures.
• Manages routine clinic in-box requests and supports admin tasks.
• Assists in scheduling procedures, labs, and x-ray visits, and records details.
