Job Summary:

We are seeking a part-time or full-time Clinical Assistant to work closely with Mental Health Providers. Your responsibilities will include performing basic patient care tasks such as taking vital signs, conducting point-of-care tests (urine drug screens and pregnancy tests), and assisting with other patient care activities. The ideal candidate is compassionate, detail-oriented, and eager to support patients and their families.

Responsibilities:

1. Greet and assist visitors and patients upon arrival.
2. Review patient paperwork and mental health assessments.
3. Assist with phone calls from patients.
4. Coordinate daily administrative tasks, including scheduling, data entry in the EHR system, patient check-in/out, and rooming patients.
5. Prepare and maintain exam and treatment rooms.
6. Obtain and record patient medical histories, test results, and other relevant information, maintaining confidentiality.
7. Assist providers with vital signs, point-of-care testing, and other patient care activities.
8. Support pharmacy calls regarding prescriptions and assist with prior authorizations.
9. Handle printing and faxing of documents.
10. Follow office workflow procedures to ensure efficiency.
11. Provide compassionate support and assistance to patients and families.
12. Ensure compliance with healthcare regulations, including HIPAA.

Skills & Qualifications:

• Phlebotomy experience is preferred but not required.
• Experience with EHR systems; Kareo experience is a plus.
• Proficiency with Google Drive.
• Excellent interpersonal, organizational, and customer service skills.
• Highly detail-oriented and organized.
• High School diploma, Medical Assistant Certification, or equivalent experience.
• Familiarity with electronic medical records is preferred.

Physical Demands:

• Ability to lift at least 20 lbs.
• Ability to stand for extended periods.
