Job summary

Lutheran SeniorLife in Beaver County, PA is seeking a Clinical Assistant I to support physicians, nurses and clinic staff. Primary duties include scheduling, transferring patients, taking vitals, veni-puncture, specimen collection and accurate record keeping in a LIFE program setting.

Ideal candidates have a high school diploma or GED or Medical Assistant training with at least one year of relevant experience and comfort with Word/Excel.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED or Graduate of Medical Assistant Program and one year related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Must have one year experience with the frail or elderly population.
• Working knowledge of computers, Microsoft Word and Excel required.

Responsibilities

• Assists physicians, CRNPs and RNs with scheduling, transferring, vitals, veni-puncture, specimen collection and record keeping.
• Operates medical equipment and provides care for frail elders according to LIFE Program standards.
• Performs computer entry and maintains accurate patient records per LIFE program guidelines.
