Location: West Midtown, West Paces, College Park, and Piedmont offices

Your Impactful Role
As a Medical Assistant with us, you will play a pivotal role in assisting our healthcare providers in delivering outstanding patient care. Your responsibilities will include but are not limited to:

  1. Patient Care: Greet and welcome patients, gather essential medical information, and assist with patient intake and registration processes.
  2. Vital Signs: Accurately measure and record patients' vital signs, including blood pressure, temperature, pulse, and respiration.
  3. Clinical Support: Prepare patients for medical examinations, assist with medical procedures, and perform basic wound care as directed by physicians.
  4. Medical Documentation: Maintain accurate and up-to-date electronic health records (EHR) and ensure proper charting of patient information.
  5. Medication Administration: Administer medications and injections as prescribed by healthcare providers, adhering to the highest safety standards.
  6. Lab Assistance: Collect specimens and perform basic laboratory tests, ensuring proper labeling and handling of samples.
  7. Patient Education: Provide patients with essential information on medications, treatments, and post-procedure care.
  8. Inventory Management: Maintain medical supplies and equipment, ensuring availability and order replenishment when necessary.

Qualifications

  1. High school diploma or GED required.
  2. One year experience as a Medical Assistant preferred.
  3. Orthopedic experience preferred.
  4. Graduate of a credentialed Medical Assistant Licensed Program.
  5. Current CPR certification preferred.
  6. BLS Certified preferred.

Physical Demands and Work Environment: The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand, walk, talk, and hear. The employee may be required to be on their feet much of the day and may need to push, pull, or transport patients on stretchers and in wheelchairs. These duties can be stressful, particularly when dealing with injured individuals. There is potential exposure to anesthetic gases, hazardous chemicals, blood and body fluids, sharps, and cleaning solutions. The employee frequently is required to move all extremities within a full range of motion, as well as stoop and bend at 90 degrees. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision.
