Job description

NEEDED: MEDICAL LABORATORY TECHNICIAN

LOCATION: 2600 South Second Street, Pekin, Illinois 61554

SCHEDULE: Eight (8) hours per day, four days per week, Monday-Thursday, 8:00 am to 2:00 pm. Not to exceed 30 hours per week.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Shall have a current certification in your chosen field of expertise that permits you to perform phlebotomy services in the State of Illinois.
  • 6 months experience.

DUTIES:

  • Responsible for providing individual diagnostic/screening lab services to inmates identified by clinical staff as needing these services.
  • Document pertinent patient information as required by institution policy and procedure.
  • Retrieve, maintain, file and monitor all reports/results.
  • Process and package lab specimens for shipment and/or transport to designated services.
  • Participate in management assessment and Improving Organization Performance studies.
