Kean faculty are recognized for teaching distinction, scholarship, and service. We are excited to grow our faculty and invite applications for a new tenure-track faculty position starting in 2025. The position is a twelve-month, full-time, tenure-track Clinical Faculty appointment at the rank of Assistant or Associate Professor. Teaching assignments may be at any of Kean’s New Jersey locations – Union, Ocean, Princeton, Skylands, or Kean Online – and may include day, evening, and weekend courses. Evening hours are required based on department needs.
All tenure-track faculty are expected to demonstrate a commitment to teaching excellence, ongoing research and publication or creative activities, curriculum development, student advisement, and service at various levels. Proficiency in a Learning Management System is also required, in line with University guidelines.
College of Health Professions and Human Services, Department of Physician Assistant Studies
Physician Assistant Studies (12-Month Clinical Assistant/Associate Professor) - The M.S. in Physician Assistant Studies program graduates PAs who provide evidence-based, equitable healthcare to diverse populations and value service and lifelong learning. Responsibilities include teaching clinical foundational courses, evaluating student progress, participating in scholarship, program assessment, advising students, maintaining office hours, and collaborating with faculty and administration. Teaching in other areas may be required depending on program needs and faculty expertise. Faculty may also apply for research release time and external grants.
Qualifications: Graduate of an ARC-PA accredited program; Master’s or Doctoral degree; minimum of three years of clinical experience; licensed or license-eligible in New Jersey; current NCCPA certification. Teaching experience is preferred.
